  • 5 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced

  • 1/2 box white cake mix
  • 5 tablespoons butter

I can't believe how simple this recipe is to put together. Do you prefer to use brown or white sugar for this dish? I love to use the light brown sugar with my apple desserts. I think it gives the dish a much richer flavor. Apples, sugar, and cinnamon go well whether in applesauce, a pie, or a cobbler.

This recipe didn't look like much, but it tasted great!

Just like apple pie. Just grabbed a plate and fork, and kept it coming. I liked the crust that was more crumbly than soft, but all was good. I too went back for more. Loved the apples.

I liked parts of this a lot and other - not so much. The apples were fantastic - cooked perfectly. The crust - meh.

I went back for seconds....and thirds. This apple cobbler is delicious. It tastes like apple pie!
