Lazy Day Cake Mix Apple Cobbler

It is impossible to understate just how incredibly easy Lazy Day Cake Mix Apple Cobbler is to make. While apple cobbler recipes are usually pretty simple, this one is even more so because it's also a slow cooker dessert. Just throw the three (yes, only three) ingredients into your slow cooker and let it cook on high for four hours. Once it's done "baking," you can scoop it right out of your slow cooker and serve it with a large scoop of cold vanilla ice cream.

Did you Know?

You may have heard the saying “as American as apple pie,” but did you that apple cobblers are actually a tried-and true American dessert that many believe date back to the early settlers of America? Today, we love apple cobblers because they are incredibly easy to make and require few ingredients. Settlers loved them for the same reasons! They had to use whatever ingredients they had available, and cobblers made a simple, filling dish that could be served for breakfast, or even lunch, if resources were scare.

This recipe was made in a slow cooker, but cobblers can also be made in slow cooker, but cobblers can also be made in a frying pan over an open fire! The dessert as we know it today is sweet and buttery, but all a cobbler needs to be classified as such is a juicy fruit filling and a biscuit or crumb topping. It’s as easy as pie!
