Easy Pear Crisp

"I’m no baker, and I’d much rather throw together a quick dinner than measure ingredients for a cake! That said, sometimes it’s nice to be able to spoil loved ones with a special dessert on a special evening. Whether you save this idea for Thanksgiving dinner or prepare it for your next weeknight meal, an Easy Pear Crisp is the perfect simple fall dessert recipe! This is comfort food at its best! The warm spices smell amazing as it bakes, and the rich, crumbly, buttery topping is the perfect balance for the light, sweet fruit on the bottom. Best of all, there are no baking skills required!

"As I mentioned earlier, I’m NOT a pastry chef, and I much prefer a simple dump-and-bake dinner to any precise dessert confection. This Pear Crisp is so darn easy that anyone can stir it together! It’s basically the dump-and-bake version of a fall dessert! Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some caramel sauce on top and this Easy Pear Crisp becomes a decadent autumnal treat that will impress any family member or dinner guest that comes your way! I hope that you love it as much as we do!

"Note: I used Bosc pears initially, but they lacked flavor. Instead, I prefer sweet, juicy, ripe Bartlett pears for this recipe. You can also use 6 cups of peeled, sliced apples as an equal substitute!"
