Ingredients

  • 2 (9-inch) unbaked pie shells
  • 5 cups apples
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Peel and slice the apples.

  3. Mix together 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and heavy cream. Pour over apples and mix well. Arrange in pastry shells.

  4. Combine 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle over top of apples.

  5. Bake 50 to 60 minutes.

Do you have a preference on the apples you use for your recipe? Also, do you use white or brown sugar. I know some people have a big preference about the sugar or apple brand, so I am always making sure before I put the recipe together. I guess it doesn't matter too much, but I want to get it right to see if I like it.
