Golden Wreath Cookies
Instead of celebrating Christmas this year with five golden rings, take a bite out of these Golden Wreath Cookies instead! This is one of the best Christmas cookie recipes because it has a different flavor from a lot of other holiday sweets. These wreaths are essentially Italian biscuit cookies that are drizzled with a light and bright lemon glaze. They're perfectly crunchy and crumbly with just the right amount of flavor. These cookies are the perfect addition to any cookie platter or Christmas cookie swap.

I must admit, my Christmas cookies are an homage to my Italian heritage with such delights as Ricotta cookies and Italian wedding cookies. I was thrilled to find this twist on Italian biscuit cookies to add to my collection. The cookies and glaze worked up perfectly, but I couldn't figure out how to make the holly. I improvised by piping small holly leaf shapes onto the cookie. It worked out fine, but if anyone knows how to make the leaves as shown, I would appreciate the help.
