Who would ever think that apple pie and cheddar would go good together? My grandpa introduced me to this fantastic combo when I was about eight years old and I have never eaten apple pie the same since. The only way I put ice cream on my pie now is if we use caramel sauce. Otherwise, it is always with a slice of cheddar cheese. The sharper the cheese, the better the flavors marry.
