Cannoli originated from the South of Italy, in Sicily. Typically they are made in a tube shape, from small to extra large and deep fried. The tubes are then filled with a sweetened Ricotta filling, sometimes filled with cut up candied fruit. And they were enjoyed by all. I hope you enjoy them too!"

Do you use sweetened or unsweetened cocoa in your recipe? I think your canolis sound fabulous. There are not my first thought with a dessert, but I love them for brunch ideas. You can fill them with so many things and you can feed a ton of people with just a few varieties.

Making cannoli has long been on my bucket list, so I am definitely making note of this recipe for later!
