Banana Cream Pie with Nilla Wafer Crust

This heavenly banana cream pie is super simple, but it has the great taste of an old fashioned family cream pie recipe. The vanilla wafer cookies taste great with the banana cream filling. Your family won't be able to get enough of this fantastic pie.

Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Nilla wafer crumbs (grind the cookies in a blender)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) package banana cream instant pudding
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh wipped cream
  • 2 large bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Stir together the wafer crumbs, sugar and butter and press into a pie plate. Bake for 8 minutes and remove to cool.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together the milk and pudding. In another bowl, using a handheld mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, add the condensed milk and beat again. Stir in the pudding then fold in the whipped cream.

  3. Place the bananas in a single layer on the cooled pie crust. Top with the pudding mixture and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours or overnight if needed. Serve with fresh whipped cream.

The only thing you bake is the crust and that only takes a few minutes. The rest is so easy you may feel as guilty as I did because I felt it was almost TOO EASY, lol! Now over my guilt, though, I am happy to tell you that it is entirely delicious and we ate every last bit. I am sure your family will love it as much as we did so do give it a try.
