  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons ultra-fine Baker's sugar (super fine sugar)

Can I use whole-wheat flour for half of the flour in this recipe? I like to reduce the white flour in my dishes to make them a little healthier and to add some extra fiber to the dessert. I love how cute these little pies are to have for a party or special gathering.
