You won't be able to get enough of these wonderfully buttery Criss-Cross Cookies, especially since they're made with such an impossibly easy cookie recipe. With just four simple ingredients that you most likely already have in your kitchen, you can make a batch of these tasty treats in less than an hour. These cookies are a Christmas dessert staple in many households because of their simple, sweet flavor and the fact that they're so easy to whip up. Simply combine all of the ingredients and drop balls of the dough onto a cookie sheet. Then, use the tines of a fork to flatten them and give them a fun look. Their criss-cross design gives them a pleasing appearance and helps keep the sprinkles on them from sliding off. Who doesn't love butter cookies, especially when they are as easy to make as these Criss-Cross Cookies. Four simple ingredients, and you don't even need your mixer to blend them. I love the versatility of this recipe as you can decorate them with different color or shaped sprinkles to suit the occasion. I'm making a batch with black and orange sprinkles this week for Halloween, but they are definitely on my Christmas cookie tray covered in red and green.

How pretty! These would be beautiful in any cookie exchange, or on any holiday cookie plate.
