You won't believe your eyes once you set your sights on Unbelievable Upside Down Apple Dumpling Pie! Unlike other apple pie recipes, this one is loaded with a ton of flavors and textures! Plus, the pie is sandwiched between two full pie crust shells which you don't see very often. A brown sugar pecan mixture sits atop the pie. Because the pecans are baked at the bottom of the pan, they come out of the oven gloriously caramelized and gooey. You'll especially like the simple homemade apple filling and the fact that you don't have to make your own pie crust from scratch.

Do you have a preference on the apple type you use in this recipe? I know some people that do like a certain brand, and there are others that could care less as long as it is an apple. I always check to make sure before I get the ingredients, just in case. I like the glaze you chose, but I think I want to make a cream cheese icing just because it is my favorite.
