Easy Eggnog Ugly Sweater Cake

Easy Eggnog Ugly Sweater Cake

Easy Eggnog Ugly Sweater Cake

Bake up one of the most fun Christmas dessert recipes with this recipe for Easy Eggnog Ugly Sweater Cake! This is one of the best recipes with eggnog because while you can taste a hint of the holiday drink, it's really subtle and doesn't overpower the rest of the dessert. A bit of nutmeg adds extra flavor depth to the cake as well as a welcome warmth. Because this cake is made with cake mix, it's incredibly easy to throw together and get into the oven in practically no time at all. This cake looks best when baked with Wilton's Ugly Sweater Cake Pan and decorated to the nines. However, you can also bake this recipe in a standard 9x13 baking dish and have it come out just fine. To make it a true ugly sweater cake, simply draw or pipe one on top like we did!

Oh my yes please, EGGNOG!! I make gingerbread through the year when I get hungry for it but eggnog, heck you only get that this time of year!!

What a fun and festive cake!

It must be extra moist with the eggnog in it. Eggnog is so creamy Rosanne

The cake recipe sounds good but I prefer to drink my eggnog (spiked) and eat gingerbread. However, I did bookmark this recipe for the future.

I'm going to make this for a party next weekend, it looks delicious!

This is a cute cake. I would not have thought of this.

Cute cake, never would have thought of that idea.

I love the fact that you baked the cake in a regular pan. While I own - and love - many Wilton pans, not everyone does -- yet. The recipe sounds delicious, yet simple - always a good idea.

What a funny idea!

Love that this cake begins with a box mix. very easy and I would love to try it!

I love Eggnog... and the cake is hilarious, I have to bring it to the Ugly Sweater party!

I should try this, only because I've never had eggnog, or tasted eggnog flavor before, lol.

I'm not a huge eggnog fan, but I decided to try this anyway. Much to my surprise there was only a hint of it. Otherwise it tasted like white cake, which is a-okay with me.

I happen to love egg nog, so was hopeful the cake would totally taste like it - it didn't. It was still good, I'm just someone who likes a lot of egg nog! I think for the next time, I'll try to find a frosting recipe with egg nog in it as well, for the perfect finishing touch.

Such a tasty and easy treat to make! While it turned out fabulous with buttercream frosting, I think one could get away with a variety of frostings.

Don't let the word "eggnog" make you nervous! I loved the texture and taste of this delicious cake, even though I really don't like eggnog. I think it just helped give the cake a little more flavor - nothing major, just a hint. The buttercream frosting was a nice touch, too!

A perfect Christmas dessert! Very sweet and moist, without being too overwhelming. I would definitely make this again!

I'm not a fan of eggnog, but this cake tasted great. More than anything, the eggnog made it very moist with just a hint of flavor. Next time I might add a bit of cinnamon to either the batter or the frosting for even more festive holiday flavor.

I don't even like eggnog, but this cake was delicious! The eggnog flavor is very subtle, and blends well with the rest of the dessert. I served with a bit of Nutella because I can never get enough of chocolate. It was divine!

This cake was perfect for me, since I'm not a huge fan of eggnog. The flavor was present, but not overwhelming. I'd definitely make this again, especially when I get tired of making Christmas cookies :)
