Easter Rice Krispies Birds Nest with Cadbury Mini Eggs

Easter Rice Krispies Birds Nest
Easter Rice Krispies Birds Nest

Rice Krispie recipes are always fun to make for the kids - especially when the results are as cute as these Easter Rice Krispies Bird's Nests. Your children will love the adorable "nests" filled with edible pastel eggs. These little cuties look great on any festive Easter brunch table. Easter dessert recipes don't get any more fun than this. You will love bringing these bird's nests to life almost as much as you will enjoy eating them. If the kid's table could use a little more color, these desserts will do just the trick.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 5 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 3 drops green food coloring
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs

Instructions

  1. In saucepan heat marshmallows and butter until melted. Add Rice Krispies and stir. Remove from heat and place 1/3 cup in sprayed cupcake tin to form little nests.

  2. In small bowl color coconut with green food coloring (I like it lighter, it looks more pastel, but add as much coloring to make the grass as green as you would like). Place the coconut in the nests and 3 mini eggs on top. Allow to cool in pan for an hour. Remove and serve.
