Constructed as a scrumptious vanilla sponge cake filled with silky vanilla pastry cream and topped with decadent chocolate sauce, honestly you could call this anything you want! Ingredients For The Pastry Cream 2 cups whole milk 6 egg yolks 2/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup corn starch 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon butter For The Cake and Chocolate Sauce 1 cup all-purpose flour 1¼ teaspoons baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt 1 cup cane sugar 2 large eggs ½ cup whole milk 5 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 teaspoons vanilla extract ¼ cup heavy whipping cream 4 oz. bittersweet chocolate"
