I'm always that person who can never decide what sort of dessert to bring to or serve at a party. Sometimes brownies or cookies can just seem so plain and boring (depending on the recipe, of course). Then, I came across Cakes Under the Influence's shot baking kit!
This baking kit is so much fun to use and share with others. The kit itself includes 12 aluminum shot glass-shaped baking molds, 24 shot-shaped parchment papers, and 12 cute reusable acrylic serving cups. What I really like about this kit is that the baking molds and the shot serving cups are pretty durable. You can tell that they're made to last past just one or two uses. Even if you run out of the shaped parchment paper, you can just shape your own and easily continue using your kit.
What I like best about Cakes Under the Influence, though, is that they not only sell their own baking mixes, but also provide recipes for a wide variety of flavored cakes! While you can certainly use your own cake mix with the baking kit, there's nothing like Cakes Under the Influence's mix. It's specifically designed to be mixed with alcohol and other flavors. I really like that their cake mix and recipes give the option of making both hi-proof and low-proof cakes so that you can choose the version that best fits your guests or needs. With their cake mix, I really didn't need any other ingredients besides my alcoholic drink mixings which was really nice. There are a few cake mix flavors that you can choose from, including yellow and chocolate, which helps you create the perfect base for your treats.
The recipes themselves are incredibly varied and all look delicious. I had a really hard time trying to decide which cakes I wanted to make first, but finally decided on making amaretto sour cakes. After adding just a bit of amaretto, sour mix, and water, all I had to do was mix the batter together and pour it into the baking molds. The cakes came out a really great golden color and tasted amazing. I shared my first batch with the adults in my family and they couldn't get enough! I'm already planning to make the same recipe with my shot baking kit for an upcoming party with friends and I can't wait to see their reactions to the cute cakes!
If you're looking for a new and delicious way to entertain your family, friends, or guests, you should really get yourself one of these cute shot baking kits from Cakes Under the Influence. This is the perfect kit for bakers who like to let loose a little!
