Once you have a taste of Dark Chocolate and Walnut Toffee, you won't be able to stop thinking about it. It's a toffee candy recipe that has a wonderful flavor depth. The dark chocolate perfectly complements the sweet toffee, keeping it from tasting overly sweet. Walnuts add a different kind of crunch as well as a bit of salty flavor. This toffee makes for the perfect holiday dessert as well as a gift for a lover of sweets. After just one bite, it's hard not to love this candy.

I know this recipe calls for walnuts and the name even says it, but I have a tree nut allergy in the family. Can I use another nut in place of the walnuts? I love your toffee idea, but I am wondering if honey roasted peanuts would taste good in this dessert. I know I love dark chocolate and walnuts sound excellent with it, but we just have to use sunflower or peanuts.
