What does the cake mix do in this recipe? Can you just use all flour, or is there something the dough needs from the cake mix? I was just thinking it would be simpler to make it with all flour like cookie dough. Could you just buy salted butter and eliminate the extra salt? I am a little confused by that part. If you have to use the cake mix, can it be the kind with pudding in the mix or no? Thanks for taking time to answer.
