Rustic Apple Galette

There's nothing quite like a bite of Rustic Apple Galette. This is one of the best apple dessert recipes that you'll taste this year thanks to fresh apples, honey, and a bit of maple syrup. Unlike traditional apple pies, this galette doesn't have a lot of crust to it so the flavor emphasis is really on the apple filling itself. Plus, the top of the galette is uncovered which allows the apple filling to caramelize perfectly. This is the perfect treat for a crisp fall night or a family get-together.

Do you keep the apples chilled while you make this recipe? I seen a few desserts that call for the butter to stay in the fridge until you throw it in the food processor or bowl. I like that you use maple syrup in this recipe. Maple adds such a rich flavor.

i love the touch of maple syrup! I bet that would taste great in this recipe!
