Buying fresh fruits yields healthier, tastier foods. It's even more fun when you can go to a farm and pick your own. You will be saving money while drawing out the beautiful experience of baking from scratch. Be sure to can and freeze whatever you don't use so nothing goes to waste.

  5. Be a bit more cautious when you bake from scratch. Try not to open the oven door. Also be sure to accurately measure each ingredient. This will ensure that the cake stays flat and does not rise or fall in the center.
