What can I use in place of the slivered almonds? Would pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, or peanuts be better in this dish? I have a severe tree nut allergy in my home, but this dessert sounds like it will be super close to the original. I want to try it, but I want it to be as close to the same ingredients as I can get.
