"Diet-friendly and low-carb donuts dessert is a popular trend these days. People are looking for recipes that allow them to indulge their sweet tooth without the guilt. If you substitute the butter for vegan butter, this recipe becomes vegan-friendly, keto-friendly and gluten free. This recipe is very versatile and very tasty. You can dust them with a cocoa-cinnamon mix to add additional flavor and texture to your baked donut. You can also glaze them with some confectioners’ sugar and almond milk as well. You can substitute soy milk for almond milk if you have a nut allergy."

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons gluten-free baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. In a bowl, stir together all the dry ingredients

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, almond milk, eggs, and lemon juice.

  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix them all together until fully incorporated.

  5. Transfer the batter into a donut mold, only filling them halfway.

  6. Bake for 25 minutes.

  7. Let it cool in a rack
