After a Thanksgiving feast is usually when you eat pumpkin pie. Your stomach is full of turkey, gravy, potatoes, and who knows what else, and then you are given a slice of pumpkin pie. You eat the pie, because of course you always have room for dessert, but sometimes you don't want to or you just can't. That is where Pumpkin Pie In A Jar comes into play. Eat as much or as little pie as you'd like, and save the rest for later! Baking pumpkin pie from scratch right in these mason jars means they are super portable, easy to serve, and even easier to save leftovers.

Can you use the pumpkin pie mix instead of the pumpkin and adding the spices, or are the measurements different? I love pumpkin pie no matter what season it is, but my family would rather have it only at Thanksgiving. This recipe gives me the chance to make the dish when I want to taste pumpkin instead of waiting all year long.
