Amaretto Caramel Apple Mug Cobblers

Sometimes you're in the mood for dessert, but don't want to make an entire cake or batch of cookies. Mug dessert recipes are the perfect solution to this dilemma! These Amaretto Caramel Apple Mug Cobblers are individually portioned and easy to whip up when you're in the mood for an apple dessert. Chopped apples are cooked with amaretto, cinnamon, and caramel to soften and season them. The apples are then divided into mugs and sprinkled with cinnamon crumble topping and baked until golden brown and bubbly. Let these mug desserts cool slightly, then serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Wish you could have seen my family's faces when I whipped up a batch of these Amaretto Caramel Apple Mug Cobblers for dessert tonight. We'd gone apple picking recently, so naturally we are having a lot of apple...but nothing like this. The Amaretto ads just a hint of a hazelnut flavor, but the caramel sauce is what really takes it over the edge. Of course I served them fresh out of the oven with vanilla ice cream on top.

You just had to show the mug with the caramel dripping down the side, right? You know how many of us are going to have to make this dessert just because of that picture? Wow. I can't wait to try this dessert. I love apple pie, and this take on it is unique. This is a great idea to serve at a party or for a new event where you want to be unique.
