Good, quality aprons are hard to come by. I've never personally owned one previously because I've never found one in a pattern or style that I liked that would withstand the amount of use I'd put it through. A lot of aprons are cute but made of materials that rip or stain easily. Aprons are meant to protect your clothes from rogue ingredients and sharp objects, so why should you have to worry about getting your apron dirty or worse? The answer is that you shouldn't. That's why I can't recommend Carolyn's Kitchen's line of aprons enough.
Carolyn's Kitchen is one of the cutest lines of retro aprons that I've ever seen. Each apron is made with a colorfully printed fabric, many with fun designs like polka dots. I couldn't help but fall in love with their new "Home on the Range" design. As you can see in the photo, it features a fun cowgirl fabric that's complemented by ruffles and a small pocket that have a red bandana-like pattern. The pocket is really handy for holding mixing spoons, spatulas, and other small tools while you're moving around your kitchen. It's also a great place to store your phone while you're cooking or baking.
As soon as I unwrapped my "Home on the Range" apron from Carolyn's Kitchen, I could immediately tell that it was going to be different from other aprons I have tried on and tried to use in the past. The apron's material is incredibly sturdy and strong thanks to the fact that it's made of 100% cotton. Better yet, even though there are ruffles all over the apron, there's not a stitch out of place. Like the fabric itself, the stiches are strong and reliable. I can't see them ripping, tearing, or unraveling any time soon (if ever). After you're done baking, you can just toss your apron into your washing machine to clean it. How easy is that?
Another thing you'll like about Carolyn's Kitchen's aprons is that both the neck and the waist ties are easy to adjust to a variety of different sizes. The bow for the neck tie was just a bit too loose for my liking when I first got it, so I simply adjusted it and the apron fit like a glove.
I am in love with my new "Home on the Range" apron. There, I said it. If you're looking for a new apron that's not only durable but super cute, you should definitely check out Carolyn's Kitchen's awesome retro apron line. There's a pattern and style for every taste!
